About Me

Gary Eickmeier
Lakeland, Florida, United States
I am a graduate Industrial Designer, but have not worked in that field. I retired from the Air Force in 1988 and pursued video and photography. My interest in audio has been lifelong, but was accelerated when I made some observations about my Bose 901 speakers, their positioning, and imaging qualities and causes. I wrote a paper on the subject and presented to the AES in 1989. It is called An Image Model Theory for Stereophonic Sound, and is the subject of this blog.
